How do you square up your quilt tops? I've never been able to find a real clear explanation on how to do this so admittedly my quilts are not *truly* square. Since I was typing this recipe out for my church's cookbook that we're putting out this fall, I thought I would share it with you as well. This is my absolute favorite dessert. I've read in a few patterns lately that you should use matching thread or neutral thread when piecing your quilts. I'm wondering why? It's not going to be seen, right? I admit, I'm lazy( and cheap!) and use any old thread I have laying around for piecing. My mom has been taking care of a stray kitty that bravely kept coming into her yard. (She has a 140lb Rottweiler)! I finished the top for the snippets turnover quilt. I'll probably add some borders still. This was my first time setting anything on point. I finally finished my zig zag quilt. This thing was an absolute beast to quilt. It was the biggest one I've done so far, measuring about 66x80, so twin size. This is the one I had to pick all those stitches out of, I kept having tension problems, some of the seams were too thick and bent my needle. Suffice it to say, I am so glad that it's done.
