Spring Sewing Party

YAY!! Tomorrow is the day! I can't wait for a day of sewing and snacking and hanging out with other dear quilting friends!

If you want to join in hop on over to Kelly's blog and sign up. It's going to be loads of fun!

I'll be working mainly on the Woodland Bloom quilt:

Very springish. I have all the flowers cut out so I will be appliqueing (is that a word?) them tomorrow. That will probably take me all day since there are so many of them, but if I finish early I may start on a baby quilt for my cousin who is having her first, a girl!, in April. I want it ready when she is born, so I can put her name on it and get it sent out to snuggle in♥

I think I'll go bake some cookies for the party tomorrow. You want some? Yes? Ok, see you there! ☺

*******************************************************************
Better late than never, right? ☺
I've been working on this for about an hour already but fogot to post, lol!
Here's my substanence( peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip, yummmm!) And my flowers all cut out and the stripe blocks all sewn.
And here's my little helper making them with me last night♥
I have to admit I am so  not thrilled with the way my sewing is going so far. Thread keeps breaking, my stitches look horrible. Blah. So I decided not to make the applique look neat. I'm going to let it fray around the edges. That way it will cover my not so perfect stiches, right? ☺
Off to check out everyone else's projects!
***********************************************************************
UPDATE: 6:25PST
I finished all the applique blocks and will be working on sewing them together for the quilt top tonight after I get the kiddos fed and in bed☺
Everyone's projects are looking so great!
I'm off to brew some more coffee. It's been raining all day and I need something warm. I just love rainy days♥

Last update-11:13pm PST
I finished it! Yay! The top is done. ☺
I like it a whole lot better now that it is done!
Thanks Kelly and Joan for organzing another great party! I had so much fun. If it wasn't for you two and all the other charming girls and guys I don't think I would get near as much done! ☺

Oh my word - GORGEOUS !! (both the little tyke AND the quilt...LOL)

I LOVE that quilt - honest. Did you hand applique the flowers on? I am SO lazy I do my applique by machine.

I am thrilled to have been a part of this fun sewing event.

What a cookie cutie and what a cute quilt, too. I really like it. You know, that happens to me a lot . . .I always seem to like how it all comes together better than the individual parts.
