with the kids yesterday I was thinking about that question and realized that those were some of my favorites right then- Making a huge mess out of the kitchen, getting all covered in sticky frosting and sprinkles, seeing my kids laughing at all their creations
and having fun getting to get all messy and eating waaayyyy too many cookies.
On our way to church Christmas Eve
And seeing the wonder on their faces at church last night when we turned down the lights, lit the candles and sang "Silent Night"
Because the most important thing during Christmas is not the things we get, but the people we share the time with. And remembering the reason we even have a Christmas.
The sweet baby child that was born more than 2,000 years ago today.
So from my family to yours:
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
And a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Thanks so much for sharing with us, Lisa! I just love the pictures of your kiddos making the cookies -- and you're so right -- it's all about the people, not the gifts! Thanks again for joining us in the fun!
