Valentine Sewing Party

YAY! It's time to party!!

Here's my starting point for today:

Here you can see where I am intending to go with this quilt. Alternating nine patches with the appliqued hearts. :-)

I am hoping to get this completely assembled minus the borders today since that fabric is currently on it's way to me.

*Doing a happy dance* Let's get this party started!!
Ok, I just reread that and I really am a dork, aren't I? LOL

UPDATE 4:47pm PST:
Still working on my 9 patches. This isn't going as quickly as I wanted with my little ones running around;-)
Dh has taken them outside now though so I can make some real progress ;-P

I just went around to everyone's blogs and there are some real beauties being made today!

UPDATE 10:20PST
Just finished all the applique and 9 patches. Got them pressed and am ready to sew into rows. I think I may make my goal of having this top finished tonight! YAY!!
UPDATE 11:58pm
FINISHED!!

It still needs to be pressed and I will add borders but I made my goal of finishing the top today! YAY!
Sorry for the lousy picture. It's late and I just had hubby hold it up real quick so I could snap a pic before it hit midnight :-)

This was so much fun and what a great way to get things accomplished!
Thanks to Kelly and Joan for organizing this!

I have that fabric line. I used it last year, which is why I am not using now. The green paisley print is my favorite.

I love to needle turn applique. Kind of relaxing.
