Why? Simply because I ♥ it. When Rachel first posted about her Pinwheel Sampler I was smitten. So was she. I remember she said she was like Linus carrying it around with her ;-)
I can totally understand that now. She made a fabulous pattern and I had a ton of fun quilting along with everyone and seeing everyone else's quilts come to life.
With this quilt I really tried to perfect my piecing. You know with pinwheels you really want your points to line up and that was my main focus in making this. I tend to rush through quiltmaking, since I always have so many ideas/ projects running/screaming around in my head demanding my attention. I'm always wanting to move on to the next project, especially when I'm close to finishing. You know how that is right? I know I can't be alone in that;-)
I really tried to slow down here and make it perfect. It's not, of course, but I tried and I figure I get brownie points for that☺
This is mostly made from a Verna Layer Cake by Kate Spain for Moda. I had to use a few prints from my stash since I made a few extra blocks ( 25 instead of the original 16 ).
Now go have a look around at all the other quilts at the Festival. There are some real beauties out there!

Beautiful quilt! I love the different pinwheels! Your extra hard work paid off!
I don't know if I can find the appropriate words to describe your beautiful quilt. Wow! GORGEOUS!Adoreable!
Love your quilt, the colors are wonderful.
I totally love this quilt. You did an excellant job. In my opinion the white really make is so beautiful!! Make the colors really relax and be joyful. This is my favorite of all the pinwheel quilts. Cool that you used the time to try to perfect your sewing - I've done that too and I'm happier with my seams - although they aren't always perfect.
What a sweet cheery quilt. Can't go wrong with pinwheels and stars.
Thanks for sharing.
