Another finish and Sewing party!

I finally finished my zig zag quilt. This thing was an absolute beast to quilt. It was the biggest one I've done so far, measuring about 66x80, so twin size. This is the one I had to pick all those stitches out of, I kept having tension problems, some of the seams were too thick and bent my needle. Suffice it to say, I am so glad that it's done.
I'm not 100% sold on the binding I chose, but what's done is done. There is no way I am picking all that out! No way! Well, unless you tell me it looks so horrible it makes you want to go run and hide. Then I might have to reconsider. Maybe. ;-)

Mostly Patty Young's Mezzanine, with some Joel Dewberry, Jennifer Paganelli, and Heather Bailey too.
The backing is Michael Miller's Whimsy. Quilted in an all-over loopy pattern.

Ok, and Kelly and Joan are having a Valentine Sewing party! On Saturday, January 23 we are going to be staying in and sewing something Valentine themed. I will be working on the heart applique's and 9 patches

for my daughter's quilt. We are supposed to post throughout the day to show our progress and there will be a parade of all the projects and prizes!
Come on, join in the fun! You know you want to! :-)

I love your gorgeous zig-zag quilt. Seeing yours makes me want to make one too! LOL - if only I had time to make every quilt I see that I like!

Ooops!

It's a beautiful beast! lol Seriously, I love it and it looks wonderful and the binding is FINE.

I am astounded, actually. You used some pretty big prints and yet, they don't look all chopped up into triangles. I had to really look to see if you did triangles or rectangles. This really turned out well, Lisa! Nice job.

I love all of those fabrics!

I just hate it when I have to use my seam ripper! What a pain, but it was worth it in the end.

That zig zag quilt is wonderful. I just love the colors you picked. Can I ask what pattern you use for that?? Good finish. Don't you hate tension problems? It always makes me "tense"!
